Webb15 dec. 2005 · Crystallization of polypropylene was investigated during cooling at constant cooling rates. We have used various methods of analysis: differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), wide-angle X-ray scattering as well as optical microscopy. In all experiments the samples were melted before crystallization at 190 °C for 10 min. 2.2.1. WebbCooling Conditions The DSC measurements show the different glass transition ranges (T: 75°C to 85°C), cold crystallization (151°C) and melting effects (249°C) depending on the different cooling rates selected before heating. For defined cooling, the intracooler of the DSC 204 F1 was employed.

WebbIsothermal crystallization exper-iments involve conditioning the test specimen, in a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), at a temperature about 30 °C above the melting temperature, then cooling the specimen to a temperature be-low the melting temperature. There, the crystallization exotherm is measured under isothermal con-ditions.
