Web2. The Parish. 2.1 Geography. Bishop’s Clyst is situated in the East Devon District of Devon on the eastern boundary of Exeter. The parish consists of the civil parishes of Clyst St Mary and Sowton which are administered as a single body (the grouping of the two parishes occurred in 1976).
